Summary: Very good so far
Comment: It is great having a cordless detector. It works as well as my corded one. The batteries lasts about a week while using it daily. The mount is holding it up fine so far. With the batteries inside it is a bit heavy. We'll see how well the suction cups work over time.

Summary: not good with photo radar
Comment: I bought the unit specifically for new photo radar installations in Arizona. So far I have tested it against a number of known installations. For the most part it fails to detect the Redflex system until I am right in front of the camera. I do not get a lot of false alarms as mentioned in other reviews. The unit does seem to work as designed against policeman operated radar.

Summary: batteries
Comment: Be prepared to buy batteries right away because the ones supplied with the unit are absolute junk. The replacement batteries sent to me were no better.

Summary: Surprisingly good performance from a cordless model
Comment: I've been using a Valentine One for years, but my newly acquired vintage sports car does not support a power source, so I had to go with a cordless model. Since this appears to be the only one that doesn't "go to sleep" while turned on, I was attracted to what promised to be better performance than the typical cordless detector. I've been surprised by how good the performance has been. It's no V1, but it's a very good detector, and the cordless convenience is great. It runs for a couple weeks between chargings. I wish the alerts were louder, as I'm using it in a convertible, but I can still hear it go off. Highly recommended, especially at this price point.

Summary: Adequate radar detector, batteries and a charger optimize convenience
Comment: Not the greatest RD out there (many recommend the Escort 8500, 9500, or Valentine V1 as the top picks), but for the price, what can you expect. You can expect some false alarms, mediocre sensitivity, and some basic features and adjustments. I bought this for the ability to do away with a cord (making the RD a bit larger and heaver), and an included charger that you can take with you on trips in addition to the car cord is a very nice touch. In spite of its sensitivity (or, lack of filtering out false alarms from various sources), it does alert me to real law enforcement measurement devices. Since I use this simply for informational purposes (I rarely travel > 5 MPH over the legal limit), this is fine. For those who wish to daringly exceed posted, lawful limits on a regular basis, I suggest a higher-rated device -- for hundreds $ more, naturally.
